I'll stamp all over 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two time world boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
